During its October 23rd annual meeting and awards banquet, the Lebanon County Conservation District bestowed its Business Steward of the Year Award to Weaber, Inc. President and CEO Galen Weaber.  The prestigious award goes annually to the Lebanon County business that best practices leadership in environmental stewardship and natural resource conservation. Galen earned this distinction through his long time commitment to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative and the manufacture of third-party green certified lumber.  Weaber, Inc. is one of only a few Pennsylvania hardwood manufacturers to embrace the rigorous standards of a third-party environmental audit and certification.  State House Representative Mauree Gingrich also presented Galen with a formal Resolution recognizing Weaber, Inc's dedication to the forest environment and its application of green technology in the lumber manufacturing process.
